CAR HITS STUMP

THREE PERSONS INJURED

Three persons were injured yesterday when a car in which they were travelling crashed into a stump on the side of the Redcliffe Road. Russell Hollis, of the Kiosk, Mount Coot-tha, sustained bruises and abrasions on both arms and legs and face, and suffered shock, while Gertrude Hollis, of the same address, suffered head contusions, a large laceration on the left arm, and injury to the back and left shoulder. Lillian Hollis escaped with a lacerated knee, bruises, and abrasions, and slight shock. Hollis and his wife and mother were motoring to Redcliffe, and when near Freshwater Creek the steering wheel locked, causing the car to career down an embankment. The victims of the accident were attended by the ambulance, and were conveyed to the General Hospital.
